About John

+47 year(s) experience

John carries out directional and curve analysis for both sell and buy participants on a daily basis. Picking good risk/reward opportunities for our clients and knowing when to stay neutral.

John joined IGM in 2009 as chief US Treasury market analyst. He provides commentary and analysis of US Treasury bond market flows, curve structure, auctions and money desk operations. Over the course of many decades he has traded every sector across the curve, giving him unique insights into the rigors of daily rate movement.

He was previously with First Boston, DLJ and Dean Witter in a variety of money market trading positions. He also had a stint in London as one of the original market makers in the cash Euro CD market, managing the money desks at each firm.

From the mid-80s through the 90s, John created and ran MRT Analysis, a technical analysis service focused on financial cash and futures instruments. He formed an alliance with Fairfield Research Corp providing yield curve arbitrage strategies and execution to institutional investors and dealer prop desks. Later, he became a partner of Kidder Reports, a web-based consulting business focused on the Treasury market.

John graduated from Manhattan College, BS in Management.
